Frickin Sweet!

Awesome awesome basketball game today, it was totally crazy and we ended up beating the #9 team in the country! You should go read the ESPN story about it, but basically it all boils down to Chris Hernandez having the most ridiculous nerves of steel and sinking three free throws with no time left to tie the game and send it to overtime. Ridiculous. My ears are still ringing.
However, it's not all awesome because Matt has a nasty flu and I have to take care of him. Which means that if he makes me sick, I'm gonna wait until he gets better and sock him in the stomach.

The best part about Texas...

They had the hugest sale at Express last weekend, and after all the rich anorexic girls that shop at Stanford mall (I didn't have enough enthusiasm to go to Hillsdale) had picked through the stuff, there were only the standard Large and Extra Large items left. Dammit. The best part about going to Texas is that, along with everything else, waistlines tend to be larger so when clothing sales roll around they're trying to get rid of their extra smalls and smalls. The only way you can get your damn hands on a sale extra small here is if you're a hawk and go at the beginning of the sale, or if it's something weird and shrunken that wouldn't fit a normal person anyway. Hmph. Everyone needs to go eat at McDonalds and get fatter or something, so I can buy some cheap clothes.
Other than that, I don't think I'd want to live in Texas.

My boyfriend is awesomer than yours

I got an early birthday present from Matt! (Mostly because I was stupid and wishy washy about buying it for myself, but whatever).

It's a bag! Because I need sooo many more handbags!

Painful!

Totally traumatic experience this morning:
So I use this kind of contact lens cleaner system:
Image hosting by Photobucket
It's called "Aosept" and is supposed to be for people with sensitive eyes. My doctor started me on it for various reasons, most likely because it's about three times as expensive as the normal stuff. Anyways it works by disinfecting with hydrogen peroxide and then the stuff at the bottom of the case (the little plastic cylinder thingy) slowly converts the hydrogen peroxide (thru some chemical hoodoo, don't ask me, I'm a bio major :-P) into water (actually I really do know how, but whatever) (and I'm not a bio major). The problem is you have to wait 6 hours for all the chemicals to become nice, safe-to-put-in-your-eyes water. And last night my holder tipped over, and the stupidity of the design of the holder is such that there is a big freaking hole in the top of the holder... so all the stuff leaked out, and the residue on the contacts was still all peroxide-y. So this morning, when I stupidly put on my contacts even though I knew that this might happen, I basically stuck straight hydrogen peroxide into my eye.
AURGH! It hurt. And I have to wear my glasses all day. And I have a deathly red eye of doom. If you look at it, it might.. KILL YOU!

So Lazy

I've decided that I can deal without being on AIM 24/7. Actually, I just turned off my AIM because I had to restart my computer, and I was too lazy to turn it back on.
And, I've just slept 12 hours. I feel awwwesome.

Not much to say

Haven't been up to much, just going to my first few classes and stuff. I'm taking CS, Physics, Genetics, and Cell biology this quarter. Um. Hm. Also been driving Matt around so that he can get a car! Everyone needs to tell him to just stop being picky and get an Accord already. hehe, then I won't have to keep driving him places.

Christmas Presents!

This is mainly for Kath, who wanted to know what Matt got me for Christmas from Chile.

I got a silver bracelet (the kind that's a strip of metal without a hinge)

Matt also got finger puppets for Kath! They're made of alpaca, I think.

Sea Beans! I got a necklace made of sea beans! It incidentally looks like the horrible trendy large seed necklaces that all the bo-HOs wear (unintended because Matt doesn't care/know about things like that). Kath can also have this if there are any interesting beans on it.. looks like some big hamburger beans and some smaller, perfectly round and smooth ones.

A big tote bag from Argentina with leather trim.

Earrings! Neat ones made of blue glass. Eat them, eat them!

This is a picture of my aunt's tofu factory in Houston. Yes, I went to Houston. And I ate a lot of tofu.

When we were in Houston we saw this little kid wearing a "Don't mess with Texas" t-shirt in the dim sum restaurant, and I thought that was pretty awesome.

And then I went to the Salvation Army (when I came back to California) and got a friend! He's awesome, I still haven't named him yet (don't want to name him Egg like Katherine suggested :-P).

I look really retarded in this picture.
