An Adventure in ... Something???

Okay so I said earlier that I needed to take pictures of an adventure.. well, here's one.
So, thanks to one of my labmates, this is what I stare at when I'm at my computer:

Is that sheet of paper some inspirational passage or poetry? Or maybe a funny article? Uhhh, no it's actually

A VI command sheet.

And look at this wonderful laptop with its beautiful user-friendly desktop.

But what's that in the upper right hand corner?? Looks like a....

Linux red hat!! YESSSS.

Somehow..

I'm way more busy now that midterms are over... thought that wasn't possible. I guess it's because I kept pushing things back (like research and my BMI group project and studying for GREs) until after midterms and now I suddenly have a ridiculous amount of stuff to do. At least I don't feel like DEATH constantly. That is good.
Also, I have a whole week off of school! And Kath is coming home for Thanksgiving! And I have jury duty, boooo. Hopefully I won't get picked because well, I'm a horrible person that probably shouldn't be judging other people. Heck, I can't even handle my own life.
I need to go shopping again. Next week, next week.

I also need to go on another adventure and take some pictures. For now, this adventure happened in the tiniest hotel bathroom ever when we were staying in London..

I demonstrate how small the toilet area is.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of it, but the toilet was about two feet from the shower. The sink was in between, and was about three feet from the door. Mustve been someone's friggin broom closet before, because our parents' room's bathroom was huge.

And speaking of ridiculously tiny bathrooms, I have to take a picture of the stall in the Terman Engineering Annex (Thornton). I'm tempted to go into the guy's bathroom and see if their stalls are also tiny. Like, seriously the door is about 2/3 the size of a normal one, and it's so cramped that the first time I went there I tried to flush the toilet with my foot and kicked the garbage container that was in there and bruised my foot and was generally truamatized. I bet if you were fat enough, you'd just get stuck in there. That would be bad. Must be because the engineers have never actually encountered a girl, so they were like "oh, girls.. they're small, right?"

Yes

So I'm done with midterms... studying for the GRE.. working on this BMI project that is due at an awful time (right after Thanksgiving break when everyone's going away for a week).
Also installed Fedora on an old laptop from my lab. Gonna have some fun getting that up and running. Oh, and over break I have jury duty. Sucks. Yuck. um, that's about all. I have a sadly boring lifestyle, apparently.

Uhhh.

Ha, as if you needed help giving yourself nightmares.

Um, and can you do this with your tongue? I can, because I'm AWESOME.

Uhhh.. I was actually that bored on a Friday night that I took random pictures of myself.. and posted it on the web.

:-D

I was going to get pad thai for dinner today, but instead decided to go to the dining hall. Great idea, because they had onion rings there and it was the BEST fucking day of my life.

Angry Post?

The type of person I hate the most is a pretentious person. Annoying, stupid, lazy, malicious, stuck-up people don't bother me as much ... for some reason. I dunno. I'm thinking of one person in particular who seems to think that she (huge hint there?) is extremely funny and cute and smart.
That's all I'm going to say about that.
I have a physics midterm tomorrow that I've heard is tough. That will suck. Hopefully I'm going to get more sleep tonight then I've had in the past few days. Study a little, then wake up somewhat refreshed and take my midterm. And then study like hell for my midterm on Monday that I haven't studied for yet.. oops.
And E40 lab made me happy today. Thanks to Andrew for putting up with ridiculous apathy/bitchiness/"I don't know.. that's just what it said in the book".
And for Terry, who likes to read about himself. Terry helped me on the last problem of my E40 problem set, and he got me ice cream from Suites open kitchen. Yes.
I lied, because this post didn't have much anger in it after all.

I thought this picture was clever when I took it but actually there are about 500 pictures of people putting these cushions on their heads like hats. I guess mine is cooler because my shirt matches the pillow in a disturbing way.

I am an awesome gnome in a tree trunk house

I'm going to die

You know how they used to torture POWs by depriving them of sleep until they slowly went insane?

On a brighter note, last round of midterms is coming up (physics on Friday, E40 on Monday). Isn't it evvvvil of my physics prof to assign a pset due on the day of the midterm, then justify it by saying that doing the pset will help us study for the midterm?
Oh and today Terry walked into the room when I was doing E40 in Suites and said "wow, you look weary." Thanks Terry :-P. I AM weary. Glad my face shows it. Okay, I'm going to go de-wearify my face for about 5 hours now...

The Problem With Subway..

I really like Subway (although Quiznos is still better) and ever since Stanford meal plans are all the same price but with points added on (so 19 meals + no points, 14 meals + 150 points, etc) I've eaten at Subway a lot. The problem is that the 6 inch sub is obviously too small. Like seriously, tiny. But the 12 inch sub weighs like 2 pounds and is huuuge. What can you do?
I usually end up eating the whole 12 inch sub.. mmm.. and being really sick but happy.

This weekend!

Eeeeeeh so I've finally emerged from my horrible weeks of hell and I don't have another midterm for about a week (although I have a ton of psets... but no pressure, right?).
Anyways. On Friday, I went shopping. Again. And I bought Keds, AGAIN, but they're less silly than the other ones that I own.

They're actually a much darker color than it looks like in the picture. And they're SO comfy, and totally Katherine-sanctioned. Which... wouldn't stop me from getting the green floral ballet flats if they're on sale.. hm, hmmm....

And then on Saturday, after doing a stupid E40 pset for waaay too long and studying biochem until I thought I was going to cry, I hung out with Shane and Hoff! We went to In & Out. Yum!

Apparently you can't take Hoff anywhere because he does things that creep out other people. Ha ha, just kidding Hoff.. err. Anyways, I think I took a random picture of Hoff talking. Just to prove that he was there.

Shane! Don't eat me... I'm not as tasty as an In & Out hamburger!

Apparently I can't take a normal picture because Hoff was talking to me as he was taking our picture and I look weirded out. Or just weird.

(I am) the biggest nerd

That pink one. Yum.
