Google Desktop?
I just installed Google Desktop, so that I could access my Google Calendar without having a web browser open all the time. It's pretty neat, but it's really hogging my memory, and my (decently fast) computer is struggling a little bit to keep up. Has anyone else used this/is it worth it? I guess when I get my new, faster laptop in a week or two, this won't me so much of an issue.

Do you keep Firefox open all the time? I find that the later versions have a serious memory leak. This might be okay on its own but it could cause problems if you want to use a second memory-hogging app.
Is that you Katherine?
I know you have issues w/ firefox memory leaks, but I have a fast enough computer that I can usually have Firefox and iTunes (another memory hog) and Eudora open at the same time with no problem. Right now EVERYTHING runs slowly when I have Google desktop open.
Although, to be more fair, lately it's been better, and the initial slowness might have been an issue because Google Desktop was spending a lot of time indexing my files.
I hate blogger. Stupid stupid google forced us to login with gmail and changed my username to display as "magic," which is the stupidest name ever. I even changed it and it's still doing that. I'm going to sign in anonymously from now on.
heheh, "Magic" like the first name of "Magic Yam." You should write it like one word maybe?
Another way that technology makes our lives easier.
I *DID* write it as one word! it even looked right when I posted, and then I come back and it's wrong.
